MAMETE PREVOSTINI

For years the Prevostini Winery has utilised modern technology but still maintaining the traditional characteristics of the Nebbiolo vines, from which all Valtellina wines are made. They produce approximately 100.000 bottles annually, predominantly red wines but also a small selection of "grappa" - a local specialty.

Valtellina is one of Italy's most renowned grape-growing regions. It boasts an extremely favourable climate, with ideal topographic and weather conditions.

 
       

MAMETE PREVOSTINI / SFORZATO DI VALTELLINA

TASTING NOTES: Dark red color. Strong scent with vanilla and fruit smell. Full-bodied taste with presence of jam and raisins flavour.

CULINARY SUGGESTIONS:
It is excellent with red meats and mature cheeses.

SERVING TEMPERATURE:
18° C.



PRODUCTION AREA :
Best area of valtellina Superiore. Siliceous, Calcareous round

GRAPE:
Nebbiolo, 100% dried up

PRODUCTION:
Grapes are harvested from October 8th, then are left to dry naturally in 4/5 kilo boxes until February 2nd. Grapes are fermented in stainless steel tanks, then the wine is aged for 20 month in 225 liter wood barrels and 12 months in bottles before release.

ALCOHOL: 15,5%

 
     

MAMETE PREVOSTINI / VALTELLINA SUPERIORE CORTE DI CAMA

TASTING NOTES:
Dark red color. Spicy scent with rasberry and violet smell. Elegant but strong fuit taste.

CULINARY SUGGESTIONS:
Indicated with spicy main courses and mature cheeses.

SERVING TEMPERATURE:
19°C.




PRODUCTION AREA :
Valtellina Superiore: Berbenno, Sondrio and Montagna .

GRAPE:
Nebbiolo, 100%.

PRODUCTION:
Grapes are harvested from 10th October with 50% left to dry until the end of January. Grapes are fermented in stainless steel tanks, then the wine is aged for 22 months in 225 liter wood barrels and 12 months in bottles before release

ALCOHOL: 14,5%
