While the winery was only founded in 2002, the Pascale family bring the passion and knowledge of many generations of wine-growing. Previously much of the fruit was sold to large producers. Now brothers Marcello and Gaetano take pride in making some of the finest wine in Campania. Wine-making in the Sannio predates the Christian era by many centuries, and both Falanghina and Aglianico are some of the oldest grapes in Italy. ‘Guardia Sanframondi’ is the sub-zone of the Sannio DOC. Grown on the high hills north-east of Naples, this wine shows beautiful floral notes, accented with citrus and herbs. It has enough minerals and salt to keep things very appetizing.
