COLOUR:
Ruby red with intense violet tinges

TASTING NOTES:
Complex aromas of wild berries - recalling plum, blackberry and cherry. Full and round, persistent on the palate.

AREA OF PRODUCTION / ORIGIN: Barile and Rionero in Vulture - Basilicata

GRAPE: Aglianico

VINIFICATION AND FINISHING : The grapes are harvested late to permit the concentration of all the substances which will confer quality to the wine. This is followed by traditional red vinification with temperature control; long maceration in stainless steel vinification vats; finishing in small oak barrels for at least one year.

ALCOHOL: 15%

COLOUR: Ruby red with intense violet tinges.

PERIOD OF MATTURATION: First 10 days of October

VINIFICATION AND FINISHING: Careful selection and thinning of the clusters; Traditional red vinification with temperature control; Long maceration of 15-20 days in stainless steel vinification vats. Malolactic fermentation followed by finishing in oak casks.

COLOUR:
Garnet red with orangish reflections as it ages.

TASTING NOTES:
Generous and persistent, recalling violets, wild berries and cooked fruit. Dry, lightly tannic when young, softens with age.

CULINARY SUGGESTIONS:
Ideal with cheeses and main courses of prime meat cuts; also enjoyable simply in moments of relaxation.

SERVING TEMPERATURE:
18°-20°C (64°-68°F)

Rionero in Vulture - Basilicata
Vine Variety Aglianico.

PERIOD OF MATTURATION: First 10 days of October

VINIFICATION AND FINISHING: Cluster selection and thinning. Traditional red vinification with temperature control. Long maceration of 15-20 days in stainless steel vinification vats. Malolactic fermentation followed by finishing in oak casks.
